Allergy Attack
Allergens can be many things or everything. Suppression of the immune system and a restrictive lifestyle are the antithesis of a cure. Patients should be more able to embrace and enjoy life instead of avoiding it.
35-year old female suffering from an acute allergic reaction made an emergency visit to my office. The chief symptom was swelling of the eyes, the left side being more severe. This marked the onset of a pattern of allergic reaction she was familiar with. Her eyes would get swollen first, then she would experience brain fog, to be followed by excruciating migraines that would last through the night.
Acupuncture intervention was performed. The swelling subsided. When she left the office an hour later her right eye was normal and there was only slight puffiness in her left. The following day she reported that she had a good evening with no residual effects.
