Spiritual Cleansing

Dragon Mountain, a Daoist retreat

Spiritual Cleansing guides the body/spirit through the four Stages of Refinement:

  • Initiation
  • Purification
  • Rebirth
  • Enlightenment

The result is a shift from a consciousness that gives rise to diseases to a consciousness that gives rise to health. The procedure was taught by Jin Dynasty (1115-1234 CE) physician and alchemist Ma Dan-Yang and transmitted by contemporary Daoist Master Jeffrey Yuen. It makes use of Ma Dan-Yang’s Twelve Heavenly Star Points and body mudras. Orderly progression through the stages is marked by changes in the pulse and subjective experience. While Spiritual Cleansing promotes spiritual growth, it is especially helpful for medical conditions when all other treatments have failed.
